IMPACT HUB HONOLULU PHONE BOOTH
Project Description
These telephone booths were designed to provide an attractive and fun solution for a common co-working challenge at Impact Hub Honolulu. Although “The Hub” is a great place to work, share ideas and feed off of other people’s productive energy, sometimes you need a place to hide and take a call! With their commitment to sustainability, ARCH fabricated these phone booths from mostly reclaimed wood from Re-Use Hawaii, repurposed polycarbonate from their existing office walls, and other found items. The “On Air” sign lights up and a ceiling fan turns on when someone goes inside and shuts the door. The booth exterior is adorned with laser engraved signs.

PEACE ON YOUR WINGS
Project Description
PEACE ON YOUR WINGS is inspired by the real-life story of Sadako Sasaki and her one thousand paper cranes. Set in post-war, 1950’s Japan, the musical follow the lives of middle school students in Hiroshima. When one of them falls seriously ill, the childrens’ lives and their tenuous bonds with each other seem to unravel. But one girl‘s struggle and dreams for a better tomorrow teach the children—and the world—about courage, love, and peace.
Working with concepts and designs by PEACE ON YOUR WINGS, the ARCH team fabricated set backdrops for lighting and projection including a set of 12 custom scenic painted shoji screens standing over 8′ tall, A stained and dyed 50′ x 22′ muslin backdrop and a 12′ diameter aluminum collapsible “moon” projection screen.

HOLIDAY TREE AT THE QUEEN KAPIOLANI HOTEL
The team had so much fun designing this abstract Christmas tree for the Queen Kapiolani Hotel and designer Shaynee Scott. Standing 11′ tall, the tree was crafted from hand-milled poplar stacked around a threaded pipe. The wood slats can be arranged in any pattern and then locked into place, and the whole tree can be disassembled in an hour, flat-packed and stored. Mele Kalikimaka!
