Circus Maximus – Burning Man Festival Installation
Fabrication and installation for major Burning Man theme camp, Circus Maximus, built from scratch with crews from Nexus and Overkill Movement. Arch provided site supervision and fabrication services for a 500’ diameter “adult jungle gym” created from upcycled telephone poles, cargo netting, reused furniture, and extensive custom metal fabrication. Aerial performance troupe, Zen Arts, utilized the installation throughout the week. Another highlight of the project was a sculptural centerpiece providing a stage and aerial rigging for Zen Arts by Rob Bruhull of Robert James Company – Wish.

Zen Arts Feature
Circus Maximus flaunted some of Zen Art’s most spellbinding performances. The trapeze and aerial silk performers displayed astounding feats of agility and strength, soaring high above the awe-stricken cavorting revelers. On the ground Zen Arts’ pole dancers, like the incredibly sexy Zoraya Judd, brought the desert heat to an inferno with their sensual and seductive pageantry of the pole. And, as the night progressed, the Zen Arts fire dancers kept the heat going, illuminating a circus ring of ravers and pushing the party to the wee morning hours. A new addition to the performances this year was that of professional ballerina Teanna Zarro. Zen Arts’ own red-headed swan queen entranced and enchanted partygoers with her maiden performance for the Zen Arts company. (Description from http://zenartsla.com)
